Welcome to the online home of bassist / composer / producer Michael Thomas Stram!


Michael started his career as a kid racing office chairs in studio halls in Chicago, and early on learned what all the knobs and faders do on a mixing console before the third grade! He’s been getting in trouble ever since. Michael started recording and engineering using 16 track machines from 3M and IBM and consoles from Quad-Eight and Neotek later on.

Helping to build out no less than three studios before he was 25. Gigging professionally on the Chicago blues scene working with the likes of Buddy Guy, Eddie ‘The Chief’ Clearwater, James Armstrong, Lurrie Bell, and many others.


Produced with the likes of legends such as Mike ‘Hitman’ Wilson, Marshall Jefferson, Bill ‘ The Buddha’ Dickens. Producing / Engineering various styles of music from classical Indian, to modern edm. Counting Bill Laswell as one of his many deep musical influences.


Currently focusing his talents in the Film / TV / Game industries.

In addition to being a composer, another of Michaels’ careers is as Sr. Technical Product Manager
